I'm looking for a way to mount my Magellan GPS on my 96 K1100
I bought a suction type mount that I put on the top of the tank, it seems to be OK but I don't trust it and have a strap around it to the headstock just to be safe.
I saw on this forum that someone had their GPS set in the cover over the radio and I would like to know how this was done. Can anyone help. Bob |

I put mine on the inside of the flyscreen, I take it you have an LT? I can't read the rev counter, but if I had an LT i'd put it on the 'screen, ssems the most logical place. I'd be concerned about it falling off the tank/damaging the paintwork.

That's what it looks like in place. _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |

hi Bob - don't know if you have an LT or an RS - it helps to know what you're riding. If it's an LT, there's an easy way to mount it on the left bar: http://k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4490&highlight=gps _________________ Jim

Get a RAM Mount B-252U and secure it to the mirror hole in the clutch perch. This is the base ball and you can do lots of things from there.
IF you look closely, you can tell that the picture RAM uses is a 96 or 97 K1100LT. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

This is a ram mount for the garmin quest. My bike has bar backs so I was able to get the ball mount in a good place.
