When I bought my first K100RS4V as a parts bike, both master cyliners were leaking BADLY. So much so that I engine braked as much as possible riding it home up the coast. And even then I went through almost an entire container of brake fluid.
The good part was that in turns I was always a gear lower than normal so had oodles of torque coming out of the turns. It taught me some things about riding a K hard.
When I got it home, I planned to ride it as a beater until something broke - at which point I'd part it. But I had to do something about the master cylinder. I sure wasn't going to replace it for $300+. So I took it apart and cleaned out the bore with steel wool and reassembled it. But then the sight window was leaking. In the interest of utter cheapness, I put tape on the inside and filled the window hole with epoxy. It worked fine after that until I ended up merging that bike with the other two I bought to make one good Frankenbike.
Have a laugh at this:
Hey, it worked. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
