McClellan is a whiny little bitch. If he knew all of these EVIL things were going on, why did his keep his mouth shut at the time? Oh, that's right, he wasn't selling a book that panders to everything liberals want to hear.
He's not a national hero if he knew all of these alleged things were occurring and kept his mouth shut until he wanted to sell boks.
So he's either a traitor to his country or a traitor to the Bush admin. Come to think of it - probably both.
Anybody want to hazard a guess as to whether he'd make these same allegations under oath in a court of law?
Not to mention that he was a pretty crappy press secretary to boot. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

He's definitely a weasel and not a "hero", but I do appreciate that his disclosures have confirmed the worst that I have always believed about Bush and Co., incompetence, ineptness, and the lying about the whole reason to go into Iraq.
Got hope?

Really we are all f-ed beyond belief already.
Bush basically butt raped the American public while robbing public programs and stripping almost all of our civil liberties away.
He did so much damage it is going to take 100 years to recover, if at all.
The thing is that the American public is so apathetic and complacent that nothing will ever be done.
Maybe when people start getting hauled away and jackbooted soldiers marching in the streets will change be in the works and on the minds of Americans.
Until then, most Americans will stuff their pieholes with McDonalds and tune in to American Idol.
Not sure whats worse, the fleecing of America or the apathy that allows it to happen. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

POLITICS? Ohhh, ok, so how would you classify 'snake oil', "synth or non-synth"
Isn't one of the pre-requisites to be a politician being sneaky? _________________ Ride safe.

Damn, OTG, VERY well put!!
Unfortunately, at the very least, our two children are going to have to live with the economic disaster this boob created. THEY are going to be paying off the %#@$#@!! deficit he created and they will have to put up with the world's opinion of the USA (bad by 2004, REALLY bad now)
Apathy is right. But if we had removed Dubya, look who is in the veep's seat. Here is the news blurb.
...on the fifth anniversary of the Iraq invasion, ABC’s Good Morning America aired an interview with Vice President Cheney on the war. During the segment, Cheney flatly told White House correspondent Martha Raddatz that he doesn’t care about the American public’s views on the war:
CHENEY: On the security front, I think there’s a general consensus that we’ve made major progress, that the surge has worked. That’s been a major success.
RADDATZ: Two-third of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.
CHENEY: So?
RADDATZ So? You don’t care what the American people think?
CHENEY: No. I think you cannot be blown off course by the fluctuations in the public opinion polls.
So great- not one but TWO A**HOLES running the USA.
And a former press secretary who reveals this crap is discredited???? I can see why. Most of the stuff the current administration does is beyond belief and they keep doing it and we go along with it like lobotomized cattle.
Whew! Ok, I'm calming down now. Maybe I'll go for a ride. _________________ John & Cathy

Well, if the Dems get the White House and keep the majority in congress, I'm hoping they'll be able to get their hands on all the intelligence that the Patriot Act has allowed the "Justice" Dept to gather on us. Specifically, who everyone voted for in 2004. That way, they can pass a tax bill that requires only those who voted for Bush and Dick the second time around to pay off the deficit. Since they're primarily Republicans they should be able to afford it.
Now THAT would be justice. _________________ tlp

I suppose you think all those who vote for Obama should foot the bill for socialized medicine and all of his other grandiose plans, right? Or is this concept a one-way street?
Despite your claims of "economioc disaster", the deficit as percent of GDP has not ruined the coutrny as you suggest:
Don't take me as Bush supporter. I'm no Bush fan and I too am opposed to deficit spending. But I do object to the "sky is falling" attitude when that is clearly not the case. The country has long had a national deficit and likely always will. It has risen recently but, as the graph above shows, it has not spiraled out of control nor does it portend economic doom.
Not only that, but it's ludicrous to blame "the economy" on the president alone (any president, not just Bush.) There are a wide variety of factors that influence the economy other than the president. To start with, all taxes and spending are approved by both houses of Congress. More importantly, in reality"the economy" is not something the president directly influences - it is the aggregation of the gazillion economic decisions made every day around the world by buyers and sellers. Fianlly, there are a great many other influenceson the econoomy such as the business cycle and the impact of economies of other countries.
Granted Bush (under the authority granted him by Congress by the way) decided to take Saddam out of power but the impact of that on the deficit has not, nor will it, destroy the country.
Have you actually read The Patriot Act? If there are specific sections of The Patriot Act which you find particularly woorisome, please cite which sections trouble you and indicate how they infringe upon your consititonal rights. I've read The Patriot Act and quite frankly I'm impressed at the lengths they went to to protect our rights while giving law enforemcent addtional tools to combat terrorism. Also of interest it that a good portion of TPA is merely fine-tuning laws originally enacted under the Carter Administration. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
