Hear's the deal. On an errand and went to raise the windsheild at 70mph and it responded sluggishly; never had a problem before it was working just fine the day before or that morning.
When went to leave from where I was the bike would not start; traced it to a loose batter cable. Tightened her up, needed a jump got it home, installed new locking nuts and charged the battery. Did not test the windsheild before taking home and fixing the battery problem
This morning windshield will not raise. No fuses blown and when I hit the switch I hear one click at the switch but no hums or nothing from the motor.
Could my problem be related to the battery issue the day before....can you burn out a motor if it isnt getting enough power?
Any incites are appreciated,

Tony,
Have you ever lubed the guides and cables? If not, use a good lithium lube. Also, sometiems at high speed it helps to give the windshield a slight assist with your hand, especially if you are using an aftermarket screen as they are thicker and heavier than the OEM iterations
I doubt the drive is damaged, my guess is it is sluggish or not moving because it is dry. Cleaning it up and lubricating it should do the trick.
Best of luck Ol' Bean! _________________ Larry

I think it's BMW or Clymer that recommends using silicone lubricant as that is less likely to trap airborne contaminants. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I lube mine every spring while I'm changing all the other oils, fluids. If I don't I get about 1/2 way thru the riding season and the shield starts to stick and drag.
I use a little bit of synthetic lite weight oil in a zoom spout bottle. _________________ Ride safe.
