Ok, after extensive testing up to an indicated 140Mph (Pipe and slippers? Ha!), I still can't see any point in the wind baffle hinged to the front of my bike.
Am I doing it wrong? Can anyone show me the point of this seemingly useless piece of plastic? _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |

Loosen the big adjusting screws. Push it all of the way forward. The tighten the adjusting screws.
Then go for a ride without it installed. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I'm short, so keep that in mind.
I find it very useful. It breaks up the laminar airflow so that it's shightly turbinated.
The best example I can think of the difference between the swift laminar air flow over a planes wing and the votices produced by the passage of said airfoil.
The votices have a lower air pressure thus the effect is decreased wind fatigue experienced by the rider. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore
