i was looking yonder down the road...
a headlight did appear...
it was a motobrick and rider in ride safe gear...
the rider was a hungry mother so he feasted on brat burgers... potato
salad and calico beans... sorry... no tenderloins today...
his well farkled machine was googled over...
then he rode into the storm...
while shelter was sought by others...
hoping scott_anderson out rode the baseball size hail...
did i mention that skinny f ers p1ss me off... but he found a 96 k1100lt for sale in the general area... so we will overlook that for now... the motobrick is right... the price is right... score... he he he...

Hi, Johnny,
Good luck in finding a nice K1100. I hope you score the '96 if it's in decent shape. If you were near El Paso, I'd let you use one of my K75's, but Iowa is quite some distance. Keep us informed... . I hope all your family is safe and there isn't too much damage from the recent flooding.

Great pics johnny, looks like you guys had a great time.
I think you hold an unofficial record for most KOG members met.
@ Scott, is that the stock topbox with the heinous rubber backing removed? I think I am going to do that.....looks much more streamlined than stock. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

OTG, Yep that's the stock 35L box. Actually I have aquired the factory "rubber" that I'm going to put on it so my pillion has a softer backrest than just the plastic box.
I sent Johnny the pics of the '96 I took that I'll let him share when he makes the score. It's sweet. _________________ Ride safe.

Well Johnny, I missed the hail but boy did it rain, and rain, and rain. Then after about 20 miles the sun was out. Go figure. _________________ Ride safe.

You will absolutely not be disappointed with the LT Johnny, especially with the amount of 2-up you guys do.
I think Shogs should get an LT as well. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

i dont think the lt will fit on our truck o t g...
so we are sticking with the bug eye motobrick for work... the lt for vacation...
it all went down friday and saturday...
scott_anderson found it friday... took some picks... wiggled them to an attractive price... then came to visit us... his mystic red motobrick was eating the miles friday...
i told mickis folks that their machine shed was missing a brick... being an all metal building... they were confused... he he he...
i called ginas bmw saturdayy and discussed its history and such... they sold the motobrick and have done all the maintenance... feeling good about it... we made the deal over the phone... put down a deposit over the phone... gong to pick it up wednesday... i really dont like buying used vehicles from dealers... but this one just showed up on trade... they are making a little... but we are getting it right... at or below current market value anyway...
i told mickis folks that soon their machine shed will no longer be missing a brick... they are still confused... he he he...
now about ride plans... im taking the trailways bus to iowa city on wednesday... will get there at 3pm and should be on the road by 5pm... gonna ride down to indianapolis to hang with my buddies and get the title transferred and get the new plates and all... sounds kinda weird by my legal residence is indiana so it has to be done there... then off to juneau wisconsin to visit mickis other kin... then pick her up and ride 2 up back to her folks in waverly iowa... then we are off to chicago for meetings... then we are off to the wild wild west to meet up with the bug eye motobrick...
we already hooked up with scott_anderson and may again on monday... spoke to ryder about a visit to se illinois... any other illinois indiana wisconsin motobrick riders out there...
the north woods boys... klinker and blackhoof... next year boys... next year...

There we go. 2010 Fourth Annual K11OG National Rally. May as well start planning.
Of course, Das Boot will have a GS, HP2 Sport, 2010 GT and three kids by then. We'll let him join us anyway. Since he'll own the dealership by then, he'll have his crack sales staff cover the sales floor.
Ha! As if the missus would let him out of the house: "You've got diaper duty, dear." _________________ tlp
