Mr. Anderson's color recognition skillz might need some adjustment- this bike is most definitely Charcoal Gray and not Black...

What can I say Micki? The showroom isn't lit very well where the bike was setting at. It was in the corner in the shadows. Besides, isn't graphite black similar to charcoal grey? _________________ Ride safe.

johnny owrstrich here from indianapolis...
no photos because that crazy wench gotts the camera for her family duties...
intended to avoid the slabb... got turned back and had to back track to get across the mighty mississippi because of road closures...
then got turned around again because of flooding in illinois...
im going on intuition... no gps... no maps... stopped and asked a guy how far to the next bridge over the mississippi... he said 30 miles north or 30 miles south... said he would show me on the map... i decilined... told him im going on intuition... he just laughed...
about 525 miles and 10 hours in all...
there was a scratch in the tank... i quickly found out why... the bars were so low that going to full lock right the banjo nut was hitting the tank... raised them up and all is well...
the squatch snatch is a little lower than prefered but it was good... the wind hits me on the visor with screen down... never got used to the screen up... i guess it has to grow in you...
the rs... you ride the rs...
the lt... the lt rides you...
completely different deals altogether... its gonna take some getting used to,,, but i think we got the optimal set up... the rs for west coast and the twisties and the lt for the midwest and the flat lands...
so its a 1 owner... 1 scratch on the tank and minor scratching on the right bag... the riget faring is 1/2 back more then the left faring and hits my knee... will need to adjust... they replaced the brake pads... replaced the brake fluids... replaced all fluids including coolant... motor oil... gear box oil... final drive oil... replaced spark plugs... replaced fork seals and oil...
has some kinds super bright head light... way brighter than the rs... has flashing leds in the tail light... rest is stock...
a 96 with 46,000 miles... spine lube at 36k... tires gotta lotta life...
bye...

Very nice Johnny.
I have a sneaking feeling you guys are going to like the LT a ton, and don't underestimate the corning ability of the big girl. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Congrats Johnny
Very clean indeed
Do you feel the need for a Johnny blanket or does this thing ride cool enough for you to be comfortable without one?

well... its been in the 90s here with 70% humitity... lets say i forgot about what its like riding in the high humitity...
im used to 90+ 100+ temps... got to get used to the humitity once again...
the need for a blanket... yesser... its a blast furnace... the tank is hot... the squatch snach is hot... and its blasting heat out the left side... just the left side for some reason...
so... a blanket and maybe a set of heat shields will be in order... i will have to commecnce to purse snatching little old ladies on the way to church to pay for such luxury...

How's it feel compared to the RS Johnny? Hows the acceleration? Powerband?
Handling? Wind protection?
Hows the wench like it compared to the RS?
Have you leaned it over at all yet? _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

I love that motocicleta!
P.S. I have one...

Welcome back to Iowa Johnny
You are lucky, you only have to put up with it for a couple of weeks before you head back out west. _________________ Ride safe.

Don't be a wuss, once you learn how to push the LT it's quite fun. Just takes a bit more confidence given how topheavy it is. Just keep riding it....it'll come. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Maybe a fuse, or it went off the track.
Don't move it while riding. The windforce make a strong push against the shield.
