I really could care less who gets elected because there is far too much inertia for any real change.
It was a big mistake to get involved in this conflict. There were no WMDs.

The surge "worked" because our CIA made deals with the individuals that run the many mini-armies in Iraq. These deals will undermine what was supposed to be a freely elected system of goverment in Iraq.

It came as no suprise to me that the first US Corps into Vietnam right after our withdrawal were the seven major US oil companies because Vietnam has sweet crude just as Indonesia does on its continental shelf.

Meh! It is about oil and we will all pay the price no matter what anyone says to try to get elected.
