Folks
Over the past months, there have been a couple of requests for advice on correctly fitting the OEM heat deflectors.
I took these shots during the LT refurb, but forgot where I had save them.
Hidden amongst my Brittney Spears image collection, I stumbled across them at the weekend.
Although in excellent condition, the LHS element refused to stay put, so I resorted to a little duck tape !
It was still there four months later.
The body of the LHS element butts up hard against #3 intake stack.
The LHS wing passes between the frame and the airbox, and should butt up closely to the RHS element.
I hope they are of use.
Enjoy

aren't you missing the piece below the LHS? The large one that butts up against the #3 intake stack should have a small piece below it that interlocks with it (if memory serves me...).
Actually - I can see it more clearly in the second pic - you are missing the lower heat screen - unless you just have it off....

Yes, you are spot-on - the lower piece fits under the injector header rail, and has a couple of nubs which mate up to the LHS upper.
I removed both sections to balance the throttle bodies, and had not refitted it at the stage where I took the shots.
In my defence, the lower piece is fairly intuitive, once you get the upper correctly aligned - I think the cross tang throws a lot of folks first time
Well spotted ! _________________ C1 200 (2001)
