ride up and down Hood Canal. Winter will soon be upon us in the Great Northwet. The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday was pretty good so I took the long way up to the cabin yesterday and came back today. The weather today was amazing. The red and black motobrick was very happy to be out and about again. It was jealous that I took the green motobrick to Idaho and Montana last month.
I'll post some pictures soon. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Here's a teaser pic. I rode Kato up to the point and took a poser shot with the Pt. Townsend-Keystone ferry in the background.

Here's the pics:
New and old Tacoma Narrows bridges
Kato on the water:
I thought this was a seagul when I too the picture.
But it looks like an owl to me.
It was a little overcast on Tuesday but nice nontheless.
The motobrick ready for action
The Whistling Oyster
I haven't had this camera too long. Started playing
with the ISO setting at sunset:
Sunset
There's always a big spider in the sink at the cabin
It was chilly when dusk came on. I learned that you
shouldn't sell your electric vest before the jacket liner
you ordered shows up.
Nothing a nice fire won't cure though.
A New York steak smothered in onion rings
Sunrise on the Olympic Mountains
A great blue heron flying along the water
Mystery Bay
The red and black motobrick was happy to be
out of the garage
Mmmm..... waffles....
Some forest rats wading on the beach
Part of the reason for this ride was to test some recent mods:
Mounted the TomTom:
Pretty easy with a handlebar mount and a square cut out of the dash pad:
The K1100RS icon:
My new turn signal mirror LEDs:
Machined aluminum oil filler:
Low fuel light converted to sidestand warning light:
The ride home back down Hood Canal
I could even see MT. Rainier in the distance:
Liliwaup Country Store: (Pronounced Lilly-wop)
Here's their old gas pump:
Fall colors
Punkins for sale:
Panorama shot:
That is all. Carry on.... _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Great pictures. I like the stone guard on your belly pan and mirrors. I have it on the belly pan but not the mirrors. Looks nice. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

When I got the bike the mirrors were all scratched up so that's why I got a spare used set and had them done in Line-X.
I also did:
Tail cowl handles
Gas cap
Knee pads
Lower part of the rear half of the front fender. It had some scratches too. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

that is a beauty of a ride report...
it looks like you dont take for granted the beauty and the serenity of the place... especially with all the critters you got roaming around...
that red and black motobrick is a fine specimen of making it yours...

Great stuff as usual Drake. Nice how you notice the beauty around you.
Course the Redbrick looks trick....but the black mirrors?
Wonder where he got that idea?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Great ride!
Your RS is cool!
I wish someday make a trip in your place!
And I think that was a gull, too.
