I picked up a 53k 85 K100RS on Sunday for cheap. Hadn't run in years and the fairing was all there but off of the bike. (Owner stopped riding it after he bought a K1100RS.)
It would spin but no fuel pump whine. I pulled off the gas cap and could actually see the water under the gas in the bottom of the tank.
So I pulled the tank off and cleaned it out. When I pulled the fuel pump out, the strainer cup was filled with RUSTY gas so I'm pretty sure the FP is toast.
After cleaning the tank, I dropped in another fuel pump, replaced the #6 fuse(most likely blown by the pump), added a gallon of gas and VOILA! She started right up. She's running a bit rough and smoky right now but I think some Techron and letting her idle a while will help.
You just can't kill these bikes. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Whoever was aksing about why they call them bricks: I think that pciture answers the question.
The seat and fairing:
It's not a garage queen by any means but not too bad. The valve cover has no scrapes and the crank cover has some very light scraping so it looks like the bike had a controlled 0 mph drop on the right side. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I'm gonna put it back together and try to flip it.(Resell it, not the other kind.) It will still be more of a motoheap than your ole bag o' bolts though.
(Your bike is pretty decent actually. It's just LED deficient.) _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Congratulations Drake,
Nice purchase & flipping is a great way to make bucks while putting smiles on the face of a new rider.
