...deserves an eternity of being kicked in the nuts/ovum.

What a PITA... My garage is pretty cramped, and so I bump the cars on occasion, and <PING> there goes a clip...

So I find the clip, get it in place, line up the clips with the fairing, push, and <PING> there goes a clip again.

I'm now keeping a flashlight in the tankbag just for finding the clips. Of course, I should've had one anyway, but that's beside the point...

That designer has a reserved seat in hell - right next to the guy who designed the stock seat.

The guy who designed the worthless helmet lock goes to purgatory.

True, but a lock extender helps a ton with this.

I've only had a mirror come off twice. Once for each side. Of course, when the crappy kickstand folded up on me the bike fell on the mirrors and cracked one of them. Only scuffed the other, but it doesn't fit tight anymore and vibrates.

Amen, I have used the wire tethered method but the last time I had them off I put them back on with heavy duty ty-wraps. Works just as well.

The RS mirros are a PITA. The LT mirrors are much easier to deal with. But on the LT when the clips start to go you have to buy a whole friggin mirror. Shocked

Do RS mirrors come off all the time or something? Never really been an issue on my LT...

They come off if you look at them crosswise.

Or if somebody brushes up against them.

The LT mirrors actually need a good purposeful smack to come off. And they're easier to put back on as well.

Really? I thought I was gonna tip my bike over it required such force.

At some point I'm going to replace the mirrors since they're scuffed up. Probably about the same time I get the saddlebags painted. I wish they'd been painted stock instead of just colored. They faded fast. The rest of the bike looks great, though.

Is that Mick Doohan in your avatar? Hell of a rider and a joy to watch.
