Bit the bullet ands did a HID conversion - this one has two bulbs, HID for dipped beam and normal for high beam. Took about 40 mins to do, I put the ballast unit on the outide of the glove box. Plug and play, they said, and it was!
The difference is huge - you can actually see what's ahead.
Only downside so far is that my radio is unusable from interference. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Hi
When you say it has 2 bulbs do you mean 2 HID capsules combined into 1 fitting, So far i have only seen the ones that slide the HID capsule up for high beam and would be interested if there is another type.

Hi Rob, no not the slide type.. this one has the HID bulb for dip and a standard halogen (I think) on the same fitting for main beam. The dip light is very, very white while the main beam is what we know and love - a kind of sickly yellow!
I can't get hold of the box right now but tomorrow I'll post some more accurate details if you're interested. Took it out this evening in the very dark slightly wet conditions and it performed very well indeed. I'm impressed. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Hi
Yes i would be very interested, price, supplier etc, I was a bit worried about only having one HID capsule to do both high and lo beam, if it fails no lights at all.
I have been thinking about getting another LT fairing and modding it to take twin headlights, not sure how it would look but could be better for lights even if it looks a bit weird!!

The light looks like this:
Taken in sunlight this morning so not the best representation ever...
