Has anyone ever used an inflator like the one described
here?

http://www.rei.com/product/696553

It is marketed to bicyclists, but to my less than expert
eye, it would seem to work as well on motorcycle tires.

What do you think?

Thanks for your thoughts!

K's did come standard with something similar I think but you would need more than one gas cartridge for a tyre.

I have one (or something similar). You'll end up burning through a lot of CO2 carttridges. I don't use mine anymore.

I bought one of these Slime pumps on sale at AutoZone for $9, usually $14

and installed an SAE plug.

It's used every time I "air down" for the dirt on my Dual Sport and fits perfectly in the storage area on my K1100.

I bought one of theze on sale at Sears for $25. It has a removable digital tire gauge. The nice thing is that when the digital gauge is mounted in the pump you can set a preset pressure to stop at.

I have a Powerlet to cig lighter adapter I carry for chargin my phone.

wally world sells cheap pump that if you strip off the plastic and replace the plug or modifiy the plug it will fit into the tail cone boot. just remember the unit will be hot after its use .. let it cool...
forget the rei pump.. if you have a leak and plug it then get another you will have enough co2 to refill the tire.. if the engine is turning you are making electricty.

Slime pump works great. Quick to inflate (won't run battery down).

Don't leave town without it.
