my deltran battery tender jr flashes red which means it dosent see my battery when i got it plugged into the oem powerlet socket by the coils...
i took off the tender plug and the wires are good and tight... i checked all the fuses in the fuse block and all look good... i can not figure out where the oem powerlet socket is on this diagram...
any assistance from a gummi lighthouse operator or other old geezer is appreciated...

If its falshing red, not solid red, then I'd guess you have the polarity backwards on the plug. Center is +, outside in -. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

i read up on it and i thought it said that the little solid state brain would auto correct reversed polarity...
i got sae to powerlet... i thought the exposed sae post from the brain would be + but its the opposite...
i still dont know where the fuse is for the powerlet...
thanks...

If you were using the SAE then the other side would be attached to the battery. By having that one be the covered on one the bike side, it makes it extremely hard to short it out. It's a got a fuse it in too. I've fuses in both of my powerlet plugs + wires just to be safe.
The Powerlet fuse is in the fuse block - #4
Here's the line-up:
1 Instruments Brake/Tail Light
2 Parking Light
3 Turn Signals Clock
4 Power Socket
5 Motronic
6 Fuel Pump
7 Horns Radiator Fan _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Without going to the website to check, I think it means it corrects for reversed polarity at the electrical receptacle where you plug it in at the wall - not where you plug it into the bike. _________________ Jim

We used to use those SAE connectors here at work on some of our instrumentation. They're amazingly easy to wire backwards. Found that out after burning up a several thousand dollar weather station. (Guess it wasn't as smart as a battery tender.)
