I was given a beautiful gift by my family, blank check for a new helmet. This is a search that has gone on for several monthes before given the blank check. Thought I had it down to one helmet (95%), Shoei Multitec, then Schuberth came out with the C3, with pinlock. All those monthes of searching out the window!
What is the opinion of my learnerd friends in the K1100 community. All comments welcome, remember I live in Europe so product support should not be an issue. _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Can't speak to all the virtues of the C3, but the retractable sun visor is a very nice feature. (My Caberg has one.) Last I checked, the Multitec did not have it. _________________ tlp

You're right, The Shoei gives you an extra tinted face shield. the wife has a Caberg, which she really likes, only she choose the regular full face. They improved the sun visior on the C3 where it falls further over your nose where the C2 was a strip (think robo cop). Looking for noise elimination and comfort as the key factors. _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Yep - that's why I passed on the C2. The lack of a notch for the nose meant the visor didn't extend down as far and thus allowed more glare. _________________ tlp

Take a look at the HJC SY-MAX 2 - it has a internal sun visor also (two position) _________________ Dave Norris KOG 248
