.. the temp gauge is reading well below normal. The fan is coming on when I would expect it to but the gauge never reads above 1/3rd. Not too worried about this but if there's a fix which doesn't involve connecting a double-ohm differential resistant multiplug with added detachable fusible link sensor I'd be happy _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Pull the lead off of the temp sensor on the bottom of the water pump. Grounding it (with the bike turned on) should peg the needle to the right. That should tell you if it's a bad sensor or a bad gauge that's your problem. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

OK I can't tell when my fan is on or off. My last bike than fan would often run for a few seconds after the bike was shut down but I've never heard this one do that. _________________ Jim

You'll know when it comes on, it's quite loud and obvious. It doesn't cut on though until the temp gauge starts to get into the red.
It will not run once the bike is turned off. _________________ Steve

Not only can you hear it - you can also feel a blast of real hot air coming through the vents. _________________ Jim
