Rather rare WUDO aluminum gas cap made for the K1000 and K1100...hasn't been made for years (mfg. in England by Newton for WUDO). I had it on my K11RS for a short time and had removed it before selling the bike. Had forgotten all about it until this weekend when I found it Embarassed Here are a couple of pics...with box and keys...also have installation instructions in English and German.

They sold new for $200....I would like to get $100...but be warned, the gasket is toast, so any potential buyer needs to be able to fabricate their own gasket (shouldn't be to hard)...the old one can still be used as a template though! Interested? Just send me a PM and I'll respond.

Sorry guys...I forgot to post that I'm not set up with any form of electronic payment system. All my prior sales have been payment first and then I ship to your address via US postal or UPS (U.S.A. only)...I pay the charges.

That is unfortunately the only way I am able to conduct the transaction.

I don't think you should have to apologize for this. I mean what the feck did we do before Paypal anyway?

Plus I think most of the folks on this site while being extreme tossers are the trustworthy type.

How's that Triumph treating you? I sat on an 01 Speed triple the other day. It was.......small. The riding compartment, that is.

The reason was because most inquiries were asking for pay pal...I usually post my preference and had forgotten to do that.

Not to sure about the earlier Triumphs...other then one I did a test ride on back around '96 -'98...think it was 1200 Daytona....I remember telling the sales guy the thing reminded me of a tractor...a fast tractor...but a tractor non-the-less Laughing. My Sprint ST is about 100 pounds lighter then my old K11RS....that was one of the things I liked...it was getting harder to handle, especially when backing it out of my car port. The ST has a shorter wheel base true and the riders' area is just a tad shorter....but the response and confidence the bike genders is what I like. Short comings???? yeah it has a few that can be draw backs.....I finally found the trick for clearing up the crashbox...ooppps did I say that....I meant transmission....the trick for clearing up the trans banging from neutral or general just banging when shifting....was to go over to Amsoil fluid...at least a 75% improvement...now I don't cringe when sitting at a light and having to shift into firstl

The only other serious issue for me is their damned poorly designed projector headlights.....they can scare the crap out of you on a dark night in the twisties with no street lights....I've had caggers pull up behind me honking cause I have to slow down so much (no old man wise cracks allowed...I have speeding tickets to prove it too).....there is absolutely no peripheral light to see when your going around a turn. I've tried to see if I can install the same set up as I had on my KRS...PIAA 1500, but the fairing chin is to low and the PIAA would end up crashing into the fender on a hard stoppie.....so I'm still working to get that issue taken care of...probably twins on the forks.

Other then those two issues, I've been very pleased with the bike....although I never stop looking around. If I had the disposable cash to afford the K13S (and purchase a BMW extended warranty), I would probably give it serious consideration...although the weight issue is something I've become very tuned into....I've test ridden a: Guzzi Norge (to damn much vibration for me), the new Connie 14 and an '09 FJR13...all of which suffer from the same problem, they are almost 200 pounds heavier then the ST. I think Triumph has the right of it...at least for me....a relatively light sport tourer.....I just need to get the ear of someone at Triumph's designers shop and do some serious ear bending.

One thing I notice right away is the weight when I go from the LT to the FZ1. Not only the 100ish lbs, but the distribution of the weight. The LT is a very top-heavy bike.

I have always liked Triumphs. May be the heritige, the reputation or the ergos but they always gave me a tingle.

You need to test ride the newer generation Sprint or Tiger (forget the 675..it'll put your back out of whack first ride)....that triple engine is sweet....although finding a dealer that will let you ride one may be difficult I hear. There's always going to be some vibration in a motorcycle to some degree....I haven't found the ST to be anymore vibbie then my K11RS...and it was pretty smooth...for a motorcycle that is.

I do miss having my city bags though....thinking real hard about buying a set like the one's I had on my RS and fabricating mounts. There's nothing out there that are really going to be much slimmer then the stock bags. The stock ST and Tiger bags stick out pretty far...so I've got a pair of soft luggage, but those old BMW city bags are great for splitting lanes and carrying groceries and what not.
