Quick tip:
My K1100RS began stalling at idle; consistently.
It turned out to be that the Throttle Position was, very slightly, out of adjustment. It was turned slightly too far clockwise.
I replaced the intake manifolds last fall; and adjusted the TPS; using the voltmeter method. The temperature was about 20'F. I think I had it too close to the cutoff; and when it warmed up, the TPS was off enough to cause the stalling.
I thought this little tip may prevent someone unnecessary "plastic" removal! _________________ 1973 CB350F / 1977 R100/7 / 1991 DR650S / 1995 K1100RS

Thanks! Little tips like this help lots. Are you sure it was the TPS and not the idle adjuster though? _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |
