This is not a product review - just posting for those who are interested.

Trail Tech vs. PIAA
Or should we say, Trail Tech ... IS ...PIAA!
If you're a BMW enthusiast, you probably get the BMW Owners News. In the August '09 issue you'll find an article on PIAA HID lights. Editors spoke highly of them, they're good lights.
Here's a secret... Trail Tech actually makes these lights for PIAA. Yup, that's right, TT puts a different name on the bezel, but other than that the lights are "identical."
Compare PIAA's price with our Trail Tech prices and you'll see there's a substantial difference. For instance you can get a set of our TT lights and an F800GS LightBar and you'll save $210.
Think of it this way... you're paying an extra $52.50 for the letter "P," $52.50 for the letter "I," $52.50 for the "A"... you get the picture.

Even better. Some of the lights at Wal-Mart that sell for $15-20 are made by the same company as well. You save even more. I have a set of $15 Wally World lights on my bike. They have been on there for 3 years and are excellent. Since I had to replace the switch once, the switches cost more than the lights. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

I don't shop at Wal*Mart. Thanks.
I would use a BMW switch and a relay. _________________ Jim

I just installed a set of PIA Hid on my wifes bike and other then the trim ring they look identical and I paid over $500 for hers. I will be ordering these for my bike and use the savings to get a seat that dont kill my ass. _________________ Ron
