I sold my K11LT to a guy in Leavenworth when I impulsively picked up a K12LT as a retirement present to myself in 2007.

The Light Truck has given me some long distance comfort (only slightly better than the K11 in some ways but generally satisfactory).
.
Now I can add a 91 K75 to the garage collection. Haven't seen a K11 bike for sale in El Paso (and haven't even seen one here).

Can I get the Phil dispensation to stay on the forum?

It's somewhat interesting that this isolated corner of the world with 750K folks on this side of the border and another 1.5 million on the other side has so few BMW riders on the various forums. Phil, Joel (the guy who's selling me the K75) and I have met, but I haven't seen anyone else on the other forums--BMWLT. BMWMOA, K-Bikes and so forth--here.

That's no big deal in itself but interesting nonetheless.

It still is a brick engine, lying on its side- just like the K1100.

The only K75 that would work for Dave would be something like this:

He'd probably still trash the tranny though. Razz

Even if my bike ran perfectly I think I would change it after 3 years. I like variety and don't really have any brand loyalty.

Fact is that they are old bikes and not getting any younger. Like my mechanic says, "Sure the engines are bulletproof, but everything else isn't".

Hi, Larry,
As opposed to others on this list, I'll certainly give you a dispensation to stay here. And when do you propose to have the next El Paso K11og posters' breakfast? Today I got back from Hungry Dungee I and would certainly like to see you and Joel (and anyone else who would like to have breakfast with us) again!

Phil--we've got two weeks before classes start and I'm hoping that Joel will close the deal and pick up his R1150. We should meet when he can show it off.

I'll talk to him tomorrow and see how things are progressing....

Glad you made it back!

Welcome back!
And the K75 are lovely bikes, and in some aspects even more ballanced end nimble than the 4-bangers ones.

Is this the same take on marriages Very Happy

We're all getting older not just our bikes, a little TLC should keep her running around the block. Glad I have a second bike so I can get the km's down some, use her for the important things, not makeing milk runs.
The pleasure she gives me makes her healther than booze and cheaper than hookers Very Happy

Plus I enjoy this site too much to get rid of my ticket.

As long as your name is still on the registration, you still own a K1100xx. Very Happy
