took a few days off and went down to Devon and Somerset, luckily we took the L400 too as the weather was generally not especially clement (understatement)!. Anyway, here's a small selection of almost random pics which I hope you might like...
This is the bottom of the cliff where Arthur's castle was built.. of course it wasn't really Arthur's but that's the legend.
Land's End, the last point on the mainland before we reach the US of A!
Dartmoor..
This is the Eden Project, well worth a visit..
The art nouveau hotel on Burgh island which featured in Agatha Chrisitie's Poirot.. Note the sea tractor which takes guests across when the tide is in!
It looks as if the weather was quite good but, believe me, we had to grab a moment here and there between torrential downpours! UK in August! _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

I'm green with envy, you guys up north and across the pond have such pretty scenery...
from the flat, straight roads of Texas... _________________ 1993 K1100LT

Of course, there's a good reason it looks so green. It rains a LOT, just like it did when I lived in Ireland in '77-'78! _________________ Ride Safe,

Nice to see some pictures of things that are older than a couple hundred years.

it's true, it's pretty, green, old and windy but it'd be nice to see that yellow thing in the sky now and again!
slimiggi, where're you from?
Gui, the bridge is, I think pre Roman. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

| Steve, I'm from Mytchett, a little village on the Surrey Hampshire border, I used to go on holiday in Devon and the south west counties every year growing up. Looks like you had a great time, even with the rain. Slim. |
