Hi guys,

I've been experiencing a problem the last week or so that only happens every now and then. When I start the bike after its been sitting cold for a few days, a distinct and loud CRACK can be heard, once, from the bottom of the engine. Immediately when it happens, if I shut off the bike and restart it the same sound doesnt occur. Quite strange, I'm thinking it might be linked to my bad transmission (maybe when it tells me its sitting in neutral its not, so that when I turn the engine back on it cracks into place?) but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Not expecting anything profound from anyone but wanted to raise the issue to see if anyone had any thoughts.
