Since I picked up my Shuberth C2 I don't need my Concept anymore. This helmet is in excellent shape. It has never been in a crash or dropped. As you can see it shows almost no wear. The only place with wear is on the bottom as you see in the picture. The surface layer of the fabric is rubbed off. This also has a removable breath guard that you see in the pictures.

$85 shipped in the continental US

Duh, sorry I forgot to put the size in. The size is an XL 60-61cm,7 5/8 or 24in. The sizes run a little small. I don't have a large head but it fits in this fine.
My C2 is a large, 59cm 7 3/8 and it also fits fine.

Also it is a modular flip up helmet.

I have a Schuberth but would love to get some reflective motoman stickers (for my grandson). Any idea where I could get them?
Thanks

Hello all....

Hey I dont want to ask a stupid question, but guess I'll have to..: Dont you guys feel claustrophobic wearing full-face helmets ?? I have tried over the ears to get accustomed to one and have several on the shelf, BUT I always come back to my Half-helmet and breathe a sigh of relief when I do. I know the safety stats comparing the two, but I just cant get into wearing any of the full enclosure type. How do you do it without freaking out ?? Also the decals on the Schuberth... where did you find them ??

best regards..........// Ernie-NH

Hey Ernie!

I'd have to hazard a guess & say the claustrophobic thing is hugely dependant upon the individual. Having said that, wearing what helps you be the best pilot is VERY important,

I have no issues with a full facehelmet and feel very awares of my surroundings. On my K1100RS I like the protection. I've also been hit in the helmet by all sorts of debris over the years too. Sometimes it even leaves a chip in the paint. I've also been down a few times, seen enough others as well that with out the full face, bad news would have ensued.

Biggest impression. High school in the 70's. My friend worked at the corner gas station. One of the mechanics just had to get a Z900 when they came out. He lost it, blamed it on gravel. Ground away a little over half his tongue and a good part of his jaw. The BELL half helmet was pretty beat up. Initial impact KO'd him and he slid/rolled along that road. Fast forward a couple years. Plastic surgeon fixed the jaw so good that after a bit of summer sun it looked amazing and natural with all the bone grafts and all. But the freaking tongue, just can't do anything with it and even after speech therapy Raymond had to WORK really hard to speak so you could understand. I remebered his name!!!! Of course, being teenage monsters we would egg Raymond on to loose his temper and when he cursed us out oh my the unusual sounds that came from him.
This left an impression on me, more so on Raymond.

I don't feel claustrophobic in a full-faced. However, I do prefer a half helmet or no helmet (where legal) on the LT most of the time. If I am wearing a full-face then I prefer to ride with the shield open if it's not raining.

On the RS you really have to wear a fullface. Just for kicks I rode my RS sans helmet in Arizona last winter. OK around town but the bugs hurt when you get up to 70. I did see lots of young guys riding minimally faired sport bikes without a helmet. Don't know how they put up with the bugs. Must be a peer pressure thing.

Sport bike AND "Lifestyle" riders.

Occasionally I'll be riding and have a monster bug hit my shield or helmet that sounds and feels like a small rock. Cathy has already heard it over the intercomm and asked "what was THAT?"
I can't imagine what a bare face would feel like in that sort of situation.

Hi, John,
Once, many years ago (1981), I was riding 2-up with Harriet (late wife) on the back. I saw a bug coming and ducked........SPLAT! It covered a quarter of her visor with a greenish yellow mess - bug guts! She NEVER let me get over that.

I took a bee in the forehead once on my Nighthawk doing about 65. The bee didn't sting but the impact sure did. Rolling Eyes

not gonna lie, i like the look of full face helmets than half or 3/4. i had thought about a modular, but the price i got on my shoei was way too good to pass up (new in box for less than half price? yes please!). also, i like to know that if i do lay it over at a good speed i will have a face left afterwards.

I've never worn anything but a full face helmet. All I know is like my face the way it is and the couple of times I've had a large bug or rock smack into my helmet, I'm glad I have it on.

I've never felt claustrophobic, but not having worn anything else, I don't know any other way to feel, but safer....

I've been riding for 42 years. Until the last 9 years I have always worn a 3/4 helmet. I started wearing a modular after I saw some pictures of some people in accidents with the a 3/4 on. I never felt claustraphobic in the full face but as it was stated earlier that is personal preference. I just bought a Nolan N43 that has a removable chin guard that when attached passes the European ECE standard for full face masks and the visibility out of the shield is the best I ever seen. I will do a review of it after I get some more riding with it.

I rode in my younger days without a helmet, caught a sparrow in the mouth on a gravel rode at 60mph. The blood and feathers blended right into my viking red beard. My Harley buddies crowned me king of the bugintheteeth crowd for night. When I recovered from my coronation I went out and bought a Bell Tourstar full face. Rode without it one day and cought a big bumblebee between my check bone and sunglasses. been through a few Arai's since the old days. Saw a friend grind his full face down to his jaw and he still has a smile. to each his own.

I tell my non rider friends that during goofy Illinois weather, my full face helmets make it like I'm riding in the comfort of a car.

I've also taken a few bug hits that felt like a gunshot through the helmet. Glad it was there.

That said, Illinois doesn't have a helmet law, sometimes it's great to go without.
