I would like to put a later triple tree and forks on a early k75. Anyone know the difference between the early and late trees or what problems I would run into?

How late? In 92 they switched to Showa forks. Those have a different diamater so you'd need to get the corresponding fork trees as well. And you'd probably have to redo the brake plumbing as those later bikes did not have the brake plumbing going through the steering head and I don't think the fork trees for the Showas will accommodate that.
I'd recommend getting some of the 91 or earlier "S" forks with progressive springs.

90 and 91. You can identify them by the S stamped in the metal fork cap under the plastic fork cap.
And be sure to read the fork oil quantity write-up by Brain Curry over at IBMWR:

I have to disagree with Flying Duck on this one. I think it's worth putting the Showas on and here is why . Pre 92 forks on the K75 's had a major fault and that was the the stanchion rubbed directly on the lower . After awhile the stanchion wears the the lower leg in a fore and aft fashion like an oval. This means that the axle is now free to oscillate under braking conditions, sometimes so badly that if you peer down at the axle you can visibly see it moving rapidly fore and aft .
Why are the Showas better?. Because they are designed with two teflon, replaceable bushings which wear before the lower leg does. This does three things . Teflon is slippery so the friction or stiction is reduced. The fork is more " accurate". Better steering. Better damper rod design for better bump control.
Brake lines are easily assembled. The Marzocchis were 41.5 mm and the Showas are 41 mm . The triple clamp from the Marzocchi will not really pinch the 41mm stanchion well enough. I have seen complete front ends recently from Beemerboneyard for under 400.00 and IBMWR and Ebay . Considering that just a new lower leg is close to 400.00, You can make a great upgrade here .

Somebody else told me the "S" forks were better. I don't care and my feelings aren't hurt. I'm building a K75 a K1100 front end so that I can have a K75 that has better brakes.

I use the K75 S forks because they are the only model (Brembo) that can be internally shortened and valved for better rebound and compression damping and remain compliant. The S forks offer superior performance, the shortening relocates the friction zone as well, and are slightly stouter. For normal riding and better wear the Showa's are fine; for tunability and performance and customization the Brembos are the ticket, and can be set up for very comfortable riding.
