Aluminum finish.
I stumbled upon a used one right after I bought the new unit.
It's been on standby for almost 10 years now. Time to let it go - these don't crack like the stock header.
Maybe I should install it and sell used unit instead.
I'll try here for a while; then IBMWR; then flea bay. _________________ Dave Norris KOG 248

Will someone PLEASE buy this and save me from blowing my daughters lap top money hence saving a HUGE argument with my SO & daughter, & then me getting evicted for poor judgement and then having to move in with one of you and thus saving your ears from the eternal whining that may ensue.
Now that's a run on sentence.
Really, WTH ?!? That's almost half off.

As a prior owner of one, I cannot recommend it enough. It gets rid of the ugly cat, saves over 10lbs, and adds a nice throaty growl to the note of the engine. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Only 10 pounds? Really? It seems like it would save a lot more. _________________ '04 WR450f

10 lbs less is in the ball park.
When you are dealing with a >600 lb. m/cycle however that 10 lbs is not
noticeable. _________________ Dave Norris KOG 248

hell, I want that thing bad. I definitely let out a yell of excitement when I saw the post. But I have to think through the decision first - I need a gps for the bike and future trips, I need to save money in general, doesn't add a lot to resale value of the bike, and my current muffler technically works. If this had been posted a month or two after I bought the bike I wouldn't have thought twice. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

If I hadn't just bought a new one 2 months ago you all wouldn't have to be bantering about as I would have bought it already.
I had broken header pipes with my stock setup.
Yes the side cases fit just fine with the Remus. _________________ Ride safe.

It works with the hard bags fine with the LT?? I have all three on mine,
does it hook to the passenger foot rest bracket at all, I had to add 4inch extensions to mine so my passenger could sit comfortable, they were too low for her.. _________________ 1993 K1100LT

Yep I have it on my '95 LT.
The Remus uses a bracket that will connect(support) the "muffler can" to the backside of the footrest support frame where the stock exhaust system is supported.
I could shoot a pic or two if that would help. _________________ Ride safe.
