In removing and reistalling rear brake caliper on 1997 K11, changed the ABS trigger sensor clearance to .60 mm. This caused alternating blinking of ABS lights at highway speeds (65-80 mph) that would not go out until I shut the bike down and restarted.
I was able to get it back to .40 to .45 by repositioning the brake caliper. Problem solved  .
I checked the front wheel ABS trigger sensor clearance and it is at .35-.40 mm.
Question: The perscribed clearance for a 97 is .45-.55 mm. Is being on the "tight" side an acceptable clearance? TIA

If you're not having problems with it, leave it. Otherwise you could loosen your 4 axle clamp bolts to make sure that everything is seated good along the axle shaft.
I had mine go the other way after changing a tire, the gap increased, so I removed the shims that someone prior had put in.
The system is looking for the "teeth" of the ring. Too far out and it doesn't see the teeth breaking the "field" of the sensor. Too close and you can have the same problem. Less likely but the possibility is that it still can happen.

Tim - did you look carefully in the tool roll for the ABS gap guage/feeler? Sometimes it's hard to find. The new ones just have two, I think - one for the front and one for the back.
