The manual states to remove two screw plugs. I presume these are the odd looking covers in the attached pic. What's the best way to get them out.

A nice new sharp one. Rather 2 drills, a pilot & an 8mm. Then keep it cutting, otherwise you'll harden the bolt & it'll never drill off.
