Hmmmm - bourbon and cigars? Very Happy

I would contribute a door prize also.

Excellent - I figure we could number whatever is brought and see if we can talk Gwen into drawing the tickets out of a helmet Smile

Linens and towels are provided. If a cabin is set up to sleep 6 - there are 6 sets of linens and towels. If there are more people in a cabin than it is set up for, the extra people would have to bring their own.

Here's the cabin break down.

Cabin 1: 2-bedroom log. Allows six, sleeps four and one bed rental allowed. The sixth guest must bring a sleeping bag or air mattress. Two-bedroom log; two single beds and one double bed.

Cabins 10, 12, and 13: 2-bedroom frame. Allows six, sleeps six and no bed rentals. Two-bedroom wood frame; two sets of bunk beds and one double bed.

We have room for 23 people in the four cabins without using a couch or the floor- as long as we have two people in each of the double beds. We can go to 24 if we use the couch or the floor in cabin 1.

From the Hungry Mother web site:

"Cabins have:

Kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, coffeemaker, dishes, dishcloth, a few dish towels, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, microwave oven, toaster, clock radios. Also includes rustic furniture and linens - one set per person. Cabins are climate controlled (heat and AC). Bring food, dish detergent, coffee filters, coffee, salt and pepper, nonstick cooking spray, extra dish towels, soap, extra bath towels, board games or cards. No dishwasher, telephone, TV, washer/dryer
Living area: sofa, dining table
Bedrooms: beds and nightstands
No grills
Fireplaces
Picnic tables
Two vehicles per cabin allowed. Others must park in parking area and pay parking fees. I think we can safely ignore this one.
Firewood is available for a fee. Overnight guests receive one bundle at no charge.
One set of linens provided per person; linens are not replaced daily.
These cabins have open porches: #1-5, 7, 9, 14-20.
These cabins have decks: #6, 8, 9-20."

I'm trying to avoid renting another cabin - if there is even one available at this point.

There are bound to be some snorers in each cabin. If you don't ride with ear plugs, at least bring some along so you can get some sleep!

I've got a compact multi-tool (still in the packaging) that I'll chip in for a door prize as well. I've also got a pair of speed bleeders that need a good home also.

If it's not too late and there's room for a newbie, I would like to attend the event.

In addition to the cost, let me know what I can contribute... as long as it can fit on the bike. Food, and/or contribution for food costs will be happily given.

A few of my Colombian, Dominican, and Cuban cigars will travel quite well.

Skip,

Check with Shoganai or Jim to see what room is left.

On Wednesday May 19, Paul & Darryl from New Zealand plus Ernie and I are leaving for HM. We are looking to do it in 1+ days- most of the distance on Wed. then just a few hours on Thursday. If it all works out, you are more than welcome to join the group heading south.

Also we are going to Dover on the Sunday before HM to first meet up with the NZ guys at a bike parts swap meet. Ernie, Jim (the Saltcreek Jim) plus Cathy and I are going to meet somewhere down by you then travel together to Dover to find the guys. Let us know if you are interested.

Stay in touch with Ernie and/or me.

John

Hey Skip - welcome to K11! No it's not too late - and yes there is room - I think. You might have to bring a sleeping bag and a towel and grab a couch - not sure yet. If you look back through the posts, you should be able to find Gwen's paypal address with no problem. You can paypal her or bring cash to the event - either is good.

I'll try to keep track of how many people are actually going to show up and let you know if there is a real bed for you or not.

Just checkin'

Hi, Gwen, Jim, et al,
Remember, if I have no surprises before then, I plan to leave the mine (in Morenci, AZ) on Wed. at 7:30pm and drive to El Paso and sleep. On Thurs. morning (May 20), I plan to get into my BRAND NEW Alabaster Silver Metallic Honda Accord EX-L V-6 6-speed Coupe (picked up this past Saturday) and drive to HM to see my old friends and make new ones. If this happens, I plan to cook spaghetti for dinner Saturday. What is the approximate head count?

Yeah - I'm keeping it updated on page 17.

We're up to 25 - one over the limit... I think that's OK, though. Maybe Phil will want to sleep in his new car? Laughing Laughing Laughing

Always room for one more, tho sleeping arrangements may be tight.

Are you ok with renting a cot or sleeping on a couch and helping pay for some food at the grocery store?

Wow, with this crowd we're going to have trouble eating out. Can you imagine all of us showing up at that little breakfast place!

We might have to do more in house cooking.
