So all the manuals say to pull the tupperware off totally to remove the headlight. Does anyone know if you can get the whole headlight out of an RS without pulling all the fairing off? _________________ K1100RS '97

I replaced mine without pulling the fairing.
Good lighting helps a lot. You need to be careful with those clips. It's a natural tendency to use a needle nose pliers & grasp & pry to get the clip off. DO NOT pry against the glass lens!
Mine had a wee little stone chip. So I got a new one and wanted to swap them out and then take the chipped one to an auto glass place & have them epoxy the chip. Nope. As soon as I pressured the glass with the pliers, the lens cracked from corner to corner.
Be careful, it can be done.
Looking back, I'd tape the edges of the lens for protection.
Good luck! _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

Just slide a small screwdriver under the clips to get them off. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
