| Mine is going bad. Sticks, low voltage to starter ect. The lowest price on BMWR is $65. I have to believe that there is an aftermarket relay that would work. I went to NAPA and they could not help. Help! |

Used ones show up on e-bay from time to time for about $20. _________________ Ride safe.

I don't see why a normal relay wouldn't work. You'd want to get one with a pretty decent amp rating though. Not sure how much current a K bike alternator draws. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

| You would think it would be easy. It is not. I went to NAPA, no luck. I went to a parts store that specializes in VW and Audi, no luck. |

I had a problem with my relay because my battery was too weak. Gulp! You are correct - they are expensive but I bought a new one AFTER a new ODESSEY battery. The BMW relay was made in Malaysia of all places.
Then I took the old one and opened it - hard to do but can be done. Found the contacts burnt - reminded me of the old problem with ignition points (that may have been before your time
Then I used fine sandpaper to smooth out the burnt points and VIOLA! I now have an emergency spare.
