Anybody know how this is done? I have mine out of my 1996 K1100 RS and going to bring it to the shop. What questions do I ask and what do I look for? I curious on how they test the amp out put. My prior thread stated my bike died. I had both batteries (one spare) load tested and both failed. Wonder if my alternator cooked them or if it wasn't putting out and the bike kept on pulling it down. Going to get an Odyssey battery.
Anyone seen any good on-line places to buy a battery? _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
I like the social aspect of riding. Rally's, socializing, drinking beer, fartin' and carrying on.

There are a bunch of places - a bit of a spread on the price.

To test it, take it in and have them spin it up. The voltage regulator should limit the max output voltage to 14-14.2 volts.
If you spend enough time Googling you can often find a shipped PC680 for something in the $110 range but for the time and effort just find something on Google shopping or the lowest buy-it-now from Fleabay. It's gonna last you a LONG time. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I've had pretty good luck with Portable Power Systems. $106.45 plus shipping.
