Cathy and I can't remember what part of Iowa you live in. Hope you are high (well as high up as you can get in Ia.) and dry.

Well, so far we are dry here.
The river is rising still, but not as bad as in 2008, here at least.
I still look for the north and east side of town to be closed off yet this week.
I was planning on going to Ames for some egress window building materials on Monday so we will see if I can get there or not.
Heading down to DesMoines today for the state fair.

my girlfriend is possibly going to have to detour off i35 getting home. i honestly didn't know it was flooding up yonder. maybe i should start watching the news ...

Well, the route(hwy 65) I took to the fair( the I-35 detour) was closed after the fair due to ( you guessed it----- high water).
But I-35 was then open and was now the detour for hwy 65.
