I had pulled the everything back to do that engine spline. This was 2 years ago and found damage to the threads for the inner Allen bolt that holds the Final Drive.
However did manage to get it back together and rode it 60,000 miles.
This summer while down in the Carolinas I noticed the rear wheel seemed to wander. Tighened the inner bolt and it was fine again until I could get home. Did make it home without problems although there was some "play".
Cleaned out the threads and used permatex Red this time, Used the blue locktite before. Rode the bike out west did another 5000 miles on it. Again the rear wheel wandered.
Checked this site for any ideas on what the specs need to be for the Final drive pivots.
Checked Beemerboneyard. Swing arm was in stock for a price of 95 bucks! Ordered it this past tuesday. Arrived Friday and replaced the worn Swing Arm last night.
Good Deal! Ready to run for the 100,000 miles +! _________________ Tim Lindstrom, ab0ts
