Our daughter (22 y.o. who lives on her own), the woman who has stated "everything that's fun is dangerous" has recently had a bit of an upgrade. Been riding the Kaw 250R for the past 3 years. Recently traded it in for a VG condition 600 "Ninja".
Been out for a few rides with the "new" bike, today with her proud dad.
She wants to ride with the HL2 gang next Saturday. She isn't gonna' have any problem keeping up...... _________________ John & Cathy

You do NOT want to know what a 20 something y.o. thinks about the looks of a K1100 (or any other BMW- well maybe an S1000RR but that would be NUTS)
For them it is the looks of a bike just slightly ahead of the function. The ZX6R has both for her. _________________ John & Cathy

hey! i take a little offense to that! i'm only 25 and i love my k11rs.
having said that, my previous gf did not like the k11 at all. so for that, along with a multitude of other reasons (arguably more important or not), she had to go.
plus, my little brother is now smitten with older bikes. if he and i are able to make it back to hm this year, he is likely to be on a 93 vfr 750 while i will be holding strong on the 93 k11rs. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

My wife hated my KLT because she knew how much time and $$ I spent on it to make it run. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Supercat,
OOPS. Wasn't meant to comment on your taste.
BUT, you gotta' know about OUR 20 something y.o. It is ALL about the appearance.
She has a very nice womans Rev-it jacket in RED. All it took was one ride on the green ZX6 and she had to go out and buy the jacket in the picture. All the years she was bicycle roadracing, her clothing "kit" had to be matched and carbon fiber was her favorite equipment add-on.
Of course her first choice for a bike to replace the 250R was the Aprilia RSV4 Factory

ah, well i like being color coordinated when riding. and do like a bike to look good. but i also appreciate the lines and styling of the k11. peter for a long time was very much all about the crotch rockets (as evidenced by the 4 or 5 gsx-r1000s and 2 sv-1000s' he has had my dad buy over the past couple years). but now he is finally seeing the light of the touring bike, and older ones to boot! _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |
