Hey gang!
Been a while since I posted something, so how's this??? Came back from a weekend ride over 28-29 Aug, used the old road to get up to the Thai border, full day ride (will post pics in a different thread) and all was well till I got home and decided to wash my bike.... NOT very proud of how badly I delaminated my front tyre!! It seemed okay before the ride, honest.
Needless to say the bike is grounded for now, just picked up some new rubber yesterday (Bridgestone BT 023) but haven't fitted it on yet. I think me guardian angel was on my shoulder cos I only felt something amiss with the bike's handling a few corners from home....
I'll accept all the abuse now, I deserve it....hahaha!

Tread depths aren't policed in the US either. There are a few states that have annual inspections required but many don't. Things like tread depth, brakes, etc... are pretty much left up to the owner.
I've had it happen before. I left the Palm Springs area and was SURE I had 1,500 miles left on a rear BT-21 to make it home. By Eureka it was getting dang low but I was able scrape up a Dunlop of the right size in Grants Pass. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Phew! No one ripped me to shreds! Thanks guys!
Went and got some new rubber on the front today, am so relieved. The bike shop was thankfully just around the corner from my house, so I didn't have to ride very far...
Opted for the new Bridgestone Battlax BT023, according to my mech, these new BTs are a lot better than the 021 I was using earlier, more suited for the weight of my bike. Anyone also using this on their RS?
(2nd pic, base of the tyre sticker) Ooh, it's an "Official MotoGP Class Tyre"....maybe now I'll sprout curly golden hair and ride like Rossi too....LOL!
