Hmm, I guess I must be strange but none of that looks over burdensome to me. You need almost all of that to own a car or motorcycle. Really not much different. My nutcase neighbor keeps his guns out and scattered through the house, you know "in case". His 8 year old son shot through the wall with a high powered rifle last week. It hit a tree in my other neighbors yard about 20 feet from where his kids were playing. As of right now, no issue, police can not do anything. That is simply wrong.

YIKES! Wrong in so many ways.
Along with the freedom and right to bear arms also comes the freedom to be stupid, unfortunately. No offense, John, but your neighbor sounds like a moron. My moron neighbor lost his house (foreclosed) in the spring. Although I would never wish that on anyone, I have yet to shed a tear over their departure.

This guy is a nutcase in many ways. We live in a fairly rural area, but we are in a development. So far he has shot 2 possums, 1 raccoon and several squirrels because "they were sick and needed to be dispatched". When I told him that any animals you dispatch need "by law" to be checked with Animal Control to verify disease he got very upset and told me to pound sand. We have lived in our house 5 years and have never seen a sick animal. We have seen raccoons during the day, but that alone does not make them sick. The big issue with this guy is that he moved the property markers and built a tree house on another neighbors property. They payed serious cash to have surveyors come back out and then spray painted a line right down the middle of the tree house. That was the property line, plus no structures are supposed to be within 10 feet of the line to begin with. Nutcase is threatening violence, but he has his right to bear arms, has a carry permit and everyone (including the police) are scared of this guy.

And I thought that my "neighbors" were a**holes- you've got me beat.

We live on a private unpaved road with two other houses- we have to pass their homes to get to ours. Neither of the others will do anything to maintain the road. So it is left to me to grade and ditch plus clear snow on the 1/2 mile. Then they complain if it isn't perfect.

10 years now.......

Think an attorney is needed to force a road maintenance agreement.

but at least they don't have guns Shocked

Bwaa ha ha.

Not to worry Bill, I am in the Live free or die state. Shocked

Personal crime- muggings, assault, etc- are pretty low here because one person doesn't know if the next person is "carrying".
