Real sons would've restored it themselves, not paid somebody else to do it. Pansies. Rolling Eyes

Very cool story, I have my Dad's bike in the garage. I would love to restore and give it to him, but he has passed on so I can't.

The only thing I can not figure out is why they would transport it on a trailer in the snow. The brand new reconditioned bike get full of road salt. Makes no sense to me.

Good for you, Nick. And I thought it was quite a touching video, these boys doing this for their dad (and your shop was a part of the story). Lucky those that have had their dads and moms to enjoy into their adult years; I lost dad when I was eleven. May all of us in our own way do our loved ones such a kindness as this story shows.

Awesome job on your part!

It's great that there are people like you around to bring stuff like that back to life.

Exellent. Nice to see some of the old British iron is still being looked after.

I have fond memories of my 750 Bonneville and 500 Daytona, both of which changed their own oil out of the primery chain case and gave me a waterproof left boot. Those were the days!!.

Very cool! I just spent a half hour going through your very interesting website:
http://www.classicbikeexperience.com/home

Maybe you can answer this for me -- with all those British bikes, how do you keep the floor looking so white?

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I'd love to pick up an old Norton some day, though with that new television series coming out on old British Cafe bikes something tells me the price is going to be going up soon Smile

The floors are actually epoxy grey as originally coated, we used the "garage floor coating" sold by Lowes/Home Depot and it survives pretty well, cleans up quite quickly. Everything else is white, so the reflections in pix seem very white.

It does get coated with oil regularly, as most of the britbikes tend to mark their territory, even temporarily!

Most of the pictures on the Website were taken in the few months after we opened, this November we will begin our third year of operation. Not too bad for three part-timers.

Shocked

Your crew did a great job, Nick. What a story.

I actually thought he was just kidding about the bike coming off the truck.

Is that a polite way of saying they piss out oil everywhere?

My old Triumph TR6 Trophy 650 never needed oil changes, it had a constant loss system....horrible machine

Well done Nick!
