My 1993 K1100LT has the normal case of side panel dropsy. having shed one of the originals before I got it, the other side was in danger of going adrift also.
I found a lot of discussion of duct tape, wire ties and other band-aids, but no permanent fix engineered to last as long as an LT might survive.
If you want to see an aerospace junkies method of a permanent no-weld repair that will only require some thoughtful work and a few bucks,
Check this out: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9n737g5xenkik6r/LT%20side%20panels%201.doc
or this;http://www.mediafire.com/?9n737g5xenkik6r
Let me know if they don't work, this is only the second time I used mediafire.
