Can you believe this season, wrapping up with four drivers in contention and a great venue for the final race.

How odd that there were no team orders for the Red Bull drivers at last weekend's race.

Watched a bit of F1 this year, but MotoGP really had my attention. Those guys are unbelievable! Imagine a bike that weighs just over 1/2 what a K11 does but with "around" 250hp. Biggest question is will Rossi do it on the Ducati next year?

Redbull as a team is similar to a calf learning to stand. Just their second year in business.

I'm a MotoGP fan as well. Went to Indy this year for MGP weekend. Lorenzo kind of ran away with things when Rossi was injured. Rossi should be able to take Duc to the championship.

BobZ,

Would really like to get to the Indy MotoGP in the next year or so. A long days ride from here. Hmmm.

Next year I figure that the top of the "pile" might be JLo, Rossi, Stoner, Spies and maybe Pedrosa.

John

John
Your pile should be the leaders. The Doctor seems to win championships on whatever he rides, JLo and Spies (who wins championships wherever he races) should match up good and Pedro/Stoner are always there.

F1 cars - Red Bull may be new, but they have Adrian Newey who is still one of the best engineers on the planets for F1. They also have two outstanding drivers in Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. Personally I wanted to see Alonso win it, but you could not deny that Vettel did what needed to be done and won it fair and square.

Bikes - Rossi was hurt seriously for the first time in his career this year. His testing at Ducati has not been going well, but I am sure he will perform well. Spies is going to shock a few people next year including Jorge Lorenzo. This year was a learning year on a "not full factory" machine. He should rack up a few wins next year. I look for Stoner to make Dani Pee Pee look bad on the Honda, should be a fun season.

Interesting news article regarding Rossi:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/88341

The interview was with Rossi's chief engineer- Rossi is not able to discuss his Ducati test due to limitations placed upon him by Yamaha.

The next test in February will be interesting, eh?

It just happens that the aforementioned chief engineer, Jeremy Burgess, is a local Adelaide boy who started off as a motorcycle racer in Oz and then moved to spannering.in Europe. Subsequently he has spannered for Gardner and Doohan as well as Rossi, in addition to a load of other top quality racers.
