Replaced them yesterday after a very wet ride. The left pair didn't have the little springs that try to hold onto the locating pin. I don't mean the spring pin that holds the locating pin but the springs that are rivetted onto the back of the pad.
Could this mean they weren't replaced at the same time! Who would replace one set and not the others!!
The left set were definitely more worn than the right. Seems dumb to me _________________ K1100RS '97

Could be that your left caliper piston doesn't retract as easily as the right, causing more wear on that side? A bit of corrosion on the piston or the bore could be keeping the left pads in contact with the rotor longer than on the right side. _________________ John & Cathy
