Yesterday I put the laminar lip in place

It doesn't reduce the noise due to the aerodynamic turbulence (as I was expecting) but I get less pressure on the helmet when riding fast (over 100 mph) then it is less tiring.

Looks nice with the bike's black paint. How does it attach?

With some reluctance (I prefer to keep the RS reasonably stock), I ordered the Laminar for my SE. It arrived promptly, was installed easily and looked functional. I waited 24 hours for the dual lock velcro tabs to bond and, today, I took a nice 554 mile ride. I noticed a difference immediately and by the end of the ride, I was satisfied that this was a benefit in terms of airflow. Max speed was 120mph and the lip was totally stable. Time will reveal the durability of the lip, however, it is easily removed and reinstalled. It takes about a minute.

Under controlled circumstances on a private road of course......

I wonder if I can do something like that on the RGS?

Laminar makes products for the GS series to current year. Check out their website. That said, I see no application for left hand drive roads.

Speed? Earth is traveling 55,000 mph in orbit. What's the issue with another 125? Limiting speed on K bikes is a good example of the definition for "evil". OTOH, exceeding speed limits is not only obligatory but moral for K bike riders.

Would be great to see a picture just to be able to check the exact position of the lip in comparison of mine.

haha, so true F45. I meant the Laverda RGS. Not an RxxxxGS......haven't stooped that low....yet.

Being a tall fat bastard my helmet seems to be in the jetstream from most fairings including the Lav-RGS. The existing lip on the K1100 RS is cleverly designed to direct all bugs no matter how big or small they are directly at eye level on the visor. Awesome design......

They might have a generic one that will fit.

So will the laminar lip (whilst it stays on). Given we are of similar heights and build (but you are a bigger bastard), you can now understand why I have the tall Aeroflow screen fitted to my RS.
