Monty,

Do you want to attach the BMW 22 litre top box or a different (and more useful) box? Your answer will determine which rack you need.

i would like a rack just to put a top box on, no need to be a bmw one have been looking at boxs of around the 22ltr size which bolts on to the rack or by useing a mounting plate, have been looking for the rack as the on on the bike is slopping so need to have a flat platform in which to put the box on , hope this makes it clearer, if you can help please post/pm ride safley monty8563

Alernately, I have a BMW sloping rack and topbox going spare. I will be totally honest with you Monty, you cant fit an awful lot in it which is why I changed mine.

Givi makes a rack for the K-RS that provided a horizontal surface. Available thru them (for $$$) but occasionally you can find one on ebay or elsewhere.

My mechanic has a 22 liter top box with all the mountings for sale for $150 including the mount that bolts on the rear cowl. It is in nice shape.

It'll also fit a K100RS4V. (The one on my RS used to be on my K100RS4V. I removed it before selling the bike.)
