As written for the Laverda forum, BTW they were pretty nice and understanding about me riding the Beemer to the Laverda Rally 1000kms away Smile

At last I got the chance to take the argy for a spin, so we went and had breakfast up on Mt Mee. Bike feels great at speed but it's still farting and missing and coughing at low throttle, so will try a larger size pilot jet. Pulling the choke on a bit seemed to make it better so I don't think it can be anything else. This was with the new airfilter.

Anyway ride impressions? It's deceptively fast as it doesn't have that kick you in the pants acceleration, but before you know it the speedo is on 100+mph! Handling is so tight, the front forks need lighter oil, think I'll go down to 5, the ikon shocks felt great, even on that bumpy road, yes I felt every bump but none of them were painful, at least at the rear end. The steering is SO direct, but felt stable. I need to clock up some more miules to get confidence and familiarity of course so will go for a couple of hundred mile run next weekend or maybe during the week if I can. We're off sailing tomorrow Smile

Totally different animal to the lounge chair comfy beemer.

So let me post the first ride pic in this new forum section, the argy and Richies Buell up at Mt Mee, make you homesick corky??? No I didn't think so...Smile

edit: Meant to add the ferodo platinum brake pads made the front brakes actually feel great, highly recommended.

Great looking bike drikko. Bet it rides and sounds even better.

Not to hijack your thread, but yesterday I hijacked our son's new-to-him Ducati for a couple of hours. Actually it needed an inspection sticker so I went and did that. But the snow is really starting to go and the temps are warming....so the road called and I answered.

Actually it was 11-13 C yesterday. Had my heated gear switched off on the way home.
The snow in the picture was for effect only. Laughing

Yeah, I wish. Actually this is really late for the snow to still be here. Last year I was already riding in the 3rd week of March. This year it just won't go away. But the roads are clear. Gotta' make up for lost riding time now.....
