Hey folks,
My "new" RS (73k miles) feels and sounds to be in fine shape with a number of mid-sized maintenance activities recently completed but a few incidents in the past week (side stand rubber and a fairing screw came loose and disappeared) have me thinking about building up a parts cache. Seems like things are readily available at the moment but that will certainly change as time marches on. What parts would be good to lay in while the getting’ is good? _________________ Lee

Gday Lee
This is a great site ah. I have the same bike as yours ,model , year and milage only on the other side of the world. Mine lives a sheltered life but some of the unscheduled maintenance has been.
Replace front brake calipher bobbins,
Rebuild starter, brushes , bearings and seals.
Replace driveshaft assy, low speed failure luckily,
Replace rear drive unit input shaft seal,
Replace motoronic computer (ouch)
Replace rear brake master cylinder piston assy,
All of the parts were easily available and reasonably priced except the computer, ex the fatherland and a bomb. Also all except the computer were completely predictable maintenance items only my ignorance stopped me doing them sooner. The helpfull advice came from this site and made all the difference in ensuring a successfull outcome . In short I don't think you need to worry about holding many parts on hand. It's a great bike.
Cheerio
