On my 93 K1100LT there is some kind of clip on the lower left side of the left fairing cover. I can't figger out what it could be used for. Yes its raining and I'm bored. Someone please inlighten me, so I may get on with my boring day.....

I know, but don't have my camera handy. Its just left of the fairing pocket cover lock. It can be removed by removing a single screw...

If the clip was on the right side cover I would say that it's for holding the left(radio) cover.
I suppose if you had your radio in the right side pocket(not likely) the clip could be on the left cover to hold the right side cover.

Yea I wondered the same thing about mine when I first got it, but also realize that when you have the left cover cliped in there, you can't see the temp guage.
I my self don't use the clip. Not worth risking having the cover come off at speed and loosing it. I just thow the cover in my tank bag if I have it off.
