Home safe and sound! Audi & I hit some awesome backroads and the BRP on our way to Deals Gap
Unfortunately our ride on the dragon had to be postponed after my front brakes locked up going down the last mountain (You were right Gwen ) Managed to stop safely and limp on to the Iron Horse campground (VERY cool place!) While attempting to bleed the system the next morning, the front brake line exploded in spectacular fashion, which entailed a front-brake-less ride to Atlanta and Audi pimping my ride with custom braided steel lines. VERY surprised the master cyl, rotors, and calipers survived the ordeal. Alls well that ends well
I had a great time this weekend and am already looking foreward to #5!!!
The lodge was fantastic, and the food succulent. But what keeps me coming back is this fine group of people. You guys make HM the best un-rally anywhere!
***I want to thank here Audi, Phil, Gwen, Keith, Jim B, Ernie, Scott, and others who helped me resolve my moto glitches this weekend... |

Darryl,
Jen and I traveled down to HM on the same highways that you, Paul and I used. But Jen and I did a short detour for about 100 km of Skyline Drive in Virginia.
She was a much better riding partner than I expected. About 1/2 of our return trip was in medium to heavy rain- not one complaint. She was the one that wanted to push on when the sky looked DARK.
Hope your trip is better.
