Did you fabricate the tail rack? _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The stock rack will be sold with the bike also. I did fabricate the rack. I believe its a 13" X 13" 3/16th 6163 aluminum plate with 6 holes drilled in it, three on each side. The holes are big enough for bungies ends to go through. My dad helped fabricate the mount. He asked if I cared how classy the mounts looked and I said I was more interested in function than looks. Be careful when you say that to a farmer. He had some 3/4 inch galvanized flat iron that was pretty flexible laying out in the woods and bent it on his iron press. I put some nylon washers to protect the finish where the mount meets the rear cowl. It is way more functional than the stock rack. I have a rev pack tour pack that mounts very well on it. I was annoyed with the 22 liter top box that came with it. I have had the bike for 16 years. I may regret selling it but I am having a lot of fun on the Bandit and there is room in the garage for two, not three bikes. _________________ 93 K1100LT

Agreed. The stock rack looks great because it flows with the tail cowl lines. But the 22L top is kind of worthless due to it's shape and size so having a level rack you can mount something aftermarket to is the way to go IMO. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
