If you have a Reynolds Single Sided Trailer Hitch not in use I could use it and I am willing to pay fair value plus shipping. Please PM or E-mail if you have one.
Update - GOT One, see last post. _________________ Jim Benge, San Diego, CA.

Me three, but I'll up the ante. If you've got one you'd like to loan out, I'd like to borrow it to take some measurements, then all three of us can have one for the cost of some materials _________________ '02 - GL1800

That would severely under cut my price. Maybe the three of you would want to buy it, one of you could keep it - then the other two could get the knock offs.
If you are even thinking about pulling a Uni-Go or other one wheeled trailer, you'll have to modify the hitch. I would suggest modifying it anyway - and if you're going to make new ones, you could just make them better. _________________ Jim

| One question, this did come off a K1100RS and not an LT? And, well two questions was it a commercial made product and sold on the market or was it a home built in someones garage. The reason I ask is that I have not figured out if a hitch was ever made for the RS and by who? From what I hear there might be subtle differences |

I wasn't trying to undercut anyone. I meant that if someone has one they don't want to sell, maybe we could get some measurements.
I think I'll go this route instead:

It was manufactured by Reynolds. The Bushtec hitch is similar. I don't know what it was on originally. I know it fits an LT - I don't know what the difference is between the LT and RS when it comes to fitting a hitch. _________________ Jim

I advertised in the MOA as well, and Bingo 1st day got a response from a real nice fellow in Trenton Ohio. Just what I was looking for, the Reynolds 743 that mounts under the tranny of a K1100. It even has the original relay in the tube and 5 pin connector. (hopefully the relay still works) So if your looking for one by all means advertise everywhere, you may get one. This is my second one I obtained this way. It was not cheap though $175 + $35 shipping (Total $210). I will be sending it out for Powder Coaating next week, which will probably be another $60. GOOD LUCK _________________ Jim Benge, San Diego, CA.

I have a hitch here for the k11 I am willing to lend for the reproduction. I also have one for the K100 that is side mounted over the foot plate. The side one was used on the early K11 I belive in early 1993. I guess it depends on the side plates. You would have to cover shipping cost and not damage the original. I believe I have a copy of the original mounting directions for them. (need to look for them) _________________ Ron

Thanks for the tip whyoldbill.
Ordered from Bustec last night, got an e-mail today saying it was just shipped.
I have sort of been looking fro one and did not think I could get a brand new one for the price of a lot of old ones. _________________ 97 K1100LT
