Once again this year I am riding (yes, pedaling) in this event to raise money for the cancer program at my local hospital. This hospital is a great example of how there are reasonable solutions to the health care dilemma in this country. When my wife was severely injured in a riding accident (yes, horseback) some years ago, they had a program where they billed what they could through our high deductible self employed insurance and then looked at the balance and our tax return and adjusted it according to our ability to pay.
Bicycling has cut into my motorcycling time over the past couple of years but has been a keystone of my return to fitness. I hope you'll follow the link below to see more about this event and consider supporting me and my local hospital with a contribution, no matter how small.

Good luck Jim, thanks for helping out and enjoy the ride. I am trying to get back into bicycling myself - I once rode from SF to LA for a benefit ride but I'm a long way from being able to do that now. When the weekends roll around there can be a serious conflict as to the priorities.. anyway thanks for the inspiration.
Cheers,
